PENCEMARAN UDARA DALAM RUANGAN (KARBON DIOKSIDA DAN TOTAL SENYAWA ORGANIK VOLATILE) SERTA GANGGUAN PARU PADA SISWA SD DI DEPOK

Abstract

Kualitas udara dalam ruangan yang baik di lingkungan sekolah sangat penting bagi kesehatan dan produktivitas siswa. Polusi udara dalam ruangan perlu menjadi pertimbangan, mengingat bahwa seseorang dapat menghabiskan 90% waktunya di dalam ruangan. CO2 dan Total VOC merupakan polutan dalam ruangan yang menyebabkan gangguan pada paru-paru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara paparan CO2, konsentrasi, VOC total dengan gangguan paru pada siswa SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain potong lintang yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret – Mei 2021. Sampel penelitian adalah 110 siswa yang diambil dengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Nilai CO2 diukur dengan Q-trak, Total VOC diukur dengan ppbRAE dan nilai fungsi paru-paru adalah spirometri. Konsentrasi CO2 dalam ruang kelas adalah 478,70 ppm, rata-rata konsentrasi total VOC 6,4 x 10-3 ppm, % KVP = 72,66, % VEP1 = 74,52 dan rata-rata %VEP1/KVP = 93,97, dan proporsinya siswa dengan gangguan paru adalah 3,6%. Tidak ditemukan hubungan antara paparan konsentrasi CO2 dalam ruangan dan total VOC dengan gangguan paru VEP 1/KVP (CO2, p = 1.000 dan total VOC p = 0,374) karena jumlah mahasiswa dengan gangguan paru sedikit sedangkan konsentrasi CO2 dan tingkat VOC total di bawah ambang batas yang tercantum. Penelitian ini tidak menemukan bukti bahwa pajanan berhubungan dengan gangguan paru. perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat di lingkungan sekolah perlu ditingkatkan dan penelitian lebih lanjut tentang parameter pencemar udara dalam ruangan lainnya dan gangguan pernapasan atau penyakit degeneratif perlu dilakukan dengan metode yang berbeda.
